Castle Custom Curbing

Homeowner Information

This page includes information regarding your landscape curbing project with Castle Custom Curbing. We find it helps our customers know what to expect. If you have any additional questions, you can check the FAQ section or contact us directly.

Before the Design Consultation and Estimate:

  • Think about what kind of landscape design or features you would like to include. A long list is great! But if you are unsure, we will provide some fantastic options.
  • Decide on a budget

Before the Installation:

  • Have an outside water tap available and unobstructed
  • Locate and mark all sprinkler heads
  • Decide on a designated area available for us to set up our truck and trailer unit (about 50 feet)
  • Let us know if this is part of a larger landscaping project. We may be able to help.

Optional: Area Preparation by Homeowner(can reduce the project overall cost)

  • Create a flat area of about 9-12” in width for us to place the curb. This includes the removal of sod, previous edging, and the movement of rock, mulch, dirt, etc.
  • Move all landscape features (statues, decorations, garden gnomes 🙂 ) to
another area that is out of the way

During the Installation:

For the most part, the homeowner does not need to be present while we work. You are more than welcome to, however. Usually at this point though we have discussed what the job entails and will complete the work as agreed upon.

After the Installation:

  • Please take care of the fresh curb by following the relevant care instructions
  • Please send payment immediately after signing off on the project (we will provide you with e-transfer details)

If you are satisfied with our work, please proudly display our yard sign and tell your neighbors about us! Referrals are huge! If you have any suggestions about how we can be better, please let us know. We’re always trying to improve.

Continuing Care: Homeowner

  • Castle Custom Curbing applies 2 coats of sealant before we finish the job. However, it is recommended that a fresh coat of sealant goes on your curb every 2 years. If you would like help with this, please ask!

Payment Policy

We strive to be completely transparent. The estimate we provide will be what you pay. However, please understand that sometimes unforeseen factors can impact the schedule of a project. We act proactively to avoid these scenarios but sometimes it happens (weather, illness) so we appreciate your understanding.

After the design consultation and estimate, if you choose to complete a job with Castle, we will collect a 35% non-refundable deposit (paid via credit card or e-transfer) to confirm your booking. The deposit will be credited towards the overall cost of your project. By paying the deposit, the homeowner agrees that the estimate accurately reflects the scope of the work to be done by Castle.

Before the installation we will confirm all the project details with you. We will then get the homeowner to approve the work to be done.

Upon completion of our work, we will get you to sign that the project has been completed as promised. After that, we will look for payment before the end of the day to the email address provided.

Appointment Cancellations or Rescheduling

Please provide as much notice as possible. We do our best to show up to a customer’s home when we say we will. Please support us in being timely by letting us know if you have a change of plans.

If you decide not to complete your project with Castle and would like to cancel, please give us at least 72 hours notice. We will do our best to fill that time slot with another project but if we are unable to do so, the deposit is non-refundable.
